Fun and safe ways to socialize your puppy to the exciting world of people, places, textures, sights, and sounds.
Your vet likely told you to be careful of Parvo and other puppy diseases until their shots are complete. Luckily, there are lots of socialization options where your puppy’s feet never touch the ground!
We teach:
Sit, down, a short stay, crate training, puppy skills for walking on a leash.

In-home private puppy training lessons are just like a sports practice or music lesson. I show the puppy a skill, then you show the puppy the same skill. There’s opportunity to ask questions. You practice the skills during the week. At the next lessson, we de-brief and then build on the skills from the week before. You play an important role in your puppy ’s training success!
Is your puppy a “nervous nelly” anxious puppy (scared of new people, noises, etc)?
Your customized package would focus on confidence building and predictable routines around human visits first, before working on obedience skills.

I work with puppies as young as 9 weeks old, as long as they have had at least their first set of shots. Proof of age-appropriate vaccines is required before lessons start.

We will be training in the safety of your home and back yard!

Yummy treats. The ones that are soft and can be broken into smaller pieces are best (think Tic Tac size).
Leash. No retractable, please.
Nylon or leather collar or harness.
Treat pouch that ties around your waist or clips, in order to free up your hands!
A non-slip bath mat (fuzzy on top to keep treats from bouncing away and non-slip so it doesn’t slide when your dog gets on it)..
Proof of age-appropriate puppy vaccines.

Absolutely! I love when puppy training is a family activity! It’s a great way for kids to have fun with their new furry family member. It’s also a confidence booster for kids that are a little hesitant around the puppy’s piranha teeth and pogo jumping.

It’s unethical to guarantee specific training results. Doing so is a false promise – no one can guarantee the behavior of another living being capable of independent decision making. It’s like a gymnastics coach promising that all their new students will be able to do complete splits in 30 days.
